Manager, Fleet Solutions
Location: Remote; Hybrid-Beverly, MA; Hybrid- Denver, CO
Employment: Full Time
Travel: 25%-50%
Responsibilities
Advance new project opportunities from qualified lead to project award and contract negotiation.
Lead all aspects of project origination including customer relationship and education, deal structuring, pricing strategy and early project development in close collaboration with the sales, market development, capital markets and project management teams
Manage a team of associates and analysts capable of simultaneously originating multiple, complex projects across a diverse customer portfolio
Lead public procurement and proposals by coordinating RFI/RFP responses
Continuously improve Highland’s offering by incorporating feedback from customers, underwriters, and project development staff.
Develop a deep understanding of electric school bus project development. This includes equipment selection and integration, power electronics infrastructure, utility interconnection, pupil transportation operations, and school district procurement
Utilize detailed pricing and project financing models, including hourly charging models (including V2G), electricity cost models, and maintenance cost models
Support project grant writing to drive customer adoption and pricing optimization
Work with customer’s utility to establish and increase load capacity and connect as a distributed energy resource (DER)
Manage third-party engineering, construction, and consulting firms to finalize and implement infrastructure plans
Represent Highland as a subject matter expert at industry and association events
Skills
4+ years of work experience in origination, enterprise sales, deal structuring, project management, or consulting. Electric vehicle implementation experience is a plus
Deep experience with project scoping, public procurement, and customer proposal writing
Ability to manage a fast paced, innovative, dynamic team – lead and align internal cross functional teams to originate new projects effectively and efficiently
Project finance or transactional experience preferred, including renewable energy, transportation, or real estate
Ability to collaborate across departments within the company and external third parties using strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem solving and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to operate effectively with high energy and flexibility
Strong persuasive and analytical writing skills
Quantitative analytical skills
Interest or prior knowledge of electric vehicles and clean transportation
Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
